Common questions

Where does the fuel price data come from?

Prices are aggregated from official open price feeds - the UK's CMA / Fuel Finder scheme and French price data - and refreshed regularly. Always check the price at the pump before relying on it.

How often are prices updated?

Stations report through the day, so prices change frequently. We update from the feeds regularly, but treat a listed price as a guide rather than a guarantee.

What do E10, E5, B7 and super diesel mean?

E10 and E5 are petrol grades (E10 is the standard, E5 the premium). B7 is standard diesel; super (or premium) diesel is a higher-spec diesel. We rank diesel by B7 then super, and petrol by E10 then E5.

Is this useful for motorhomes and campervans?

Yes. Many forecourts list AdBlue, water and other facilities that matter for bigger vehicles, and Hopstead's trip planner can find the cheapest fuel along your actual route, not just near one point.
